Paths (Bezier curves) are expressed as functions mapping the unit interval [0,1] to the plane R². Therefore two paths f,g cannot be composed as functions. In other words: f(g(x)) makes no sense for paths f and g since the result of g(x) is a point on the plane while the argument of f is a number in the unit interval [0,1].
